Altro Stronghold K30 Installation – Scallop Shell Restaurant, Bath

We were recently contracted to supply and install 55m² of Altro Stronghold K30 safety flooring at the award-winning Scallop Shell Restaurant in Bath — widely recognised as one of the best fish and chip shops in the UK.

Altro Stronghold K30 was the ideal choice for this busy commercial kitchen environment, offering outstanding slip resistance, durability, and hygiene performance. The installation was completed to the highest standard, ensuring a safe and long-lasting flooring solution for one of Bath’s most celebrated dining destinations.

Commercial Flooring Installation – Noah’s Fish & Chip Restaurant, Bristol

We were contracted to carry out a full flooring installation at Noah’s Fish and Chip Restaurant on Spike Island, Bristol — a standout venue widely recognised as one of the best fish and chip restaurants in the UK, and featured in a glowing review by acclaimed food critic Grace Dent in The Guardian.

Noah’s is no ordinary chippy. With elegant interiors, a vibrant menu of fresh seafood from Brixham and Newlyn, and dishes that rival top-end restaurants, it’s a destination in its own right. The restaurant has already been named the third best fish and chip shop in the UK at the National Fish & Chip Awards.

As part of the project, we supplied and installed 110m² of Moduleo luxury vinyl flooring in the main dining area — delivering a premium, hard-wearing wood-effect finish suited to the restaurant’s stylish, maritime-inspired interior.

In the kitchen and prep areas, we fitted 35m² of Altro Stronghold K30 safety flooring, providing maximum slip resistance, hygiene performance, and long-term durability in a busy commercial environment.

This project reflects our ability to provide practical, high-performance flooring without compromising on design — supporting the atmosphere and quality expected from one of the country’s top seafood restaurants.

Summer Holidays Project – St Gregory’s School, Bath

During the summer break, APC Flooring Specialists completed a full flooring refurbishment at St Gregory’s School in Bath, covering over 170m² of Altro safety flooring.

The project included:

• Installation of Altro safety flooring on both staircases, complete with stair nosings for enhanced safety
• Fitting of durable entrance matting to help manage heavy foot traffic and protect interior flooring
• Full installation of Altro flooring in three W.C. areas, including both the male and female toilets
• A challenging uplift and disposal of existing floor coverings, handled efficiently by our experienced team

Despite the complexity of the uplift, our fitters maintained a high standard throughout, ensuring a clean, safe, and long-lasting finish – ready in time for the start of the new school year.

Bathroom flooring installation at Elton House for The Landmark Trust

Just after Christmas, we had the privilege of working at Elton House, a beautiful and historically significant property tucked away in the Abbey Courtyard, Bath.

We were commissioned by The Landmark Trust to fit Marmoleum flooring across four bathrooms in the building. Marmoleum was a perfect choice — sustainable, durable, and in keeping with the traditional character of the property, while offering a clean and practical finish.

The Landmark Trust is a British building conservation charity dedicated to rescuing historic buildings at risk and giving them new life as unique self-catering holiday lets. From castles and cottages to follies and forts, each restored property contributes to the Trust’s mission to protect heritage for future generations.

It was an honour to play a small part in helping preserve such an important building right in the heart of Bath.

Another recently completed project for Core Construction of Bath, this time at St Catherine’s.

We installed Woodpecker Harlech Ecru Oak in a straight plank finish across four bedrooms, the lounge, and a loft room. For the landing and entrance lobby, we used Woodpecker Goodrich Ecru Oak laid in a classic herringbone pattern with a two-plank border to frame the space beautifully.

Trowbridge RFC – 200m² Oneflor LVT Installation

We recently teamed up with Tile & Floor for a large-scale flooring project at Trowbridge Rugby Football Club. The job involved the installation of 200m² of Oneflor LVT, transforming the space with a modern, hardwearing finish ideal for high-traffic environments.

The project began with the removal of the existing floor coverings, followed by full subfloor preparation, including latex screeding to ensure a smooth, level surface ready for the new flooring. Once prepped, we installed the Oneflor LVT, delivering a clean, durable, and professional result that will stand up to heavy footfall while elevating the look of the club’s interior.

Flooring installation in Claverton Down for Abbey Renovations.

We were pleased to work with Abbey Renovations on this stylish property in Calverton Down, Bath. The kitchen and dining area were fitted with a straight plank LVT, chosen for its sleek appearance and practicality in busy living spaces.

To create contrast and add some character, the hallway was finished in a herringbone layout with a border — a timeless look that really elevates the entrance.
